There is a very special man at Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club. Senior Performance Squad member and Colts Head Coach, Samir Kharbouch. He has been selected to represent the Algerian National 7s Rugby team in their journey for Olympic qualification. In honour of him and to assist to promote his trip and aid towards his travel costs, we wrote this special poem for him on our ongoing blog series!
Samir Kharbouch - Our Hero!
In the realm of rugby, where warriors gather, there stands Samir, a true rugby blaster.
With strength and skill, he's earned his place, representing Algeria with courage and grace.
Samir Kharbouch, a beacon of might, leading his team with unwavering light. From Senior Performance Squad he rose, to guide the Colts, where his wisdom flows.
Now, on a quest to Mauritius they embark, in pursuit of Olympic dreams, a fiery spark. Samir, a coach, a mentor and guide, instilling in them a burning pride.
With each step they take, hearts beating strong, they carry the Algerian banner along. In Mauritius' embrace, where legends are born, they’ll battle fiercely, from dusk till dawn.
Samir, a rock amidst the stormy seas, Guiding his team with wisdom and expertise. His passion ignites like a thunderous flame, inspiring his players, stoking their aim.
With each tackle made and try scored, Samir's leadership is truly adored. He nurtures their talent, hones their skill, moulding teams that are destined to thrill.
Through the sweat and the pain, they strive, united by a common goal, they thrive. Samir's voice echoes, a symphony of drive, pushing them forward, helping them thrive.
In their hearts, they carry his fiery zeal, A shared determination, a sacred seal. With every game fought, their spirits rise, Samir's guidance, a gift in disguise.
The road is long, the challenges immense. But Samir's spirit will not relent. In Mauritius, they'll face the test, Their dreams of Olympic glory manifest.
So let us rally behind this noble team, In their pursuit of greatness, let us gleam. For Samir, a true coach, an amazing player , a beacon so bright, May they conquer the tournament, with all their might.
In the land of rugby, their story shall unfold, As they strive for Olympic qualification, bold. Samir Kharbouch, a leader so true, May victory and triumph be bestowed upon you!
